Kayla was born and raised in North Dakota, where she also went to college, obtaining a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of North Dakota. Now in Lake Oswego, Kayla has been creating appealing visuals to build brand awareness and communicate information through all of our marketing channels. She was drawn to FP Transitions because of the remarkable work culture. As a graphic designer on the marketing team she is looking forward to learning more about financial advising world and expanding her professional skilset.

While in college, Kayla served, bartended, and managed in the restaurant industry.

Graduating right as the pandemic hit put a damper on Kayla’s post-graduation opportunities, yet she still created opportunities for herself; she built a graphic design business, an ecommerce site to build her portfolio, and a public gallery exhibition of her work.

While not creating killer content for the marketing team, Kayla is often hiking, cycling, paddle boarding, skiing, hammocking, camping, traveling, meditating, enjoying live music and trying out Portland’s new restaurants. A lover of nature, Kayla and her husband, Evan, were married this past July on the Washington side of the Gorge. She has a cat named Ragnar and has mastered the art of homemade noodles.
