After graduating from Gonzaga University (Go Zags!) with an undergraduate degree in Sports Management, Erik Larang received his JD/MBA from Creighton University. He specialized in business law and worked closely with the local business community as part of the Creighton Economic Development Clinic.

Most of Erik’s professional career has focused on helping clients navigate the complexity of the financial world across a wide variety of financial institutions. His professional career began at Goldman Sachs, where he helped launch their consumer bank’s Apple Card and led a division-wide Q&A series for the revitalization of the Goldman Sachs private equity real estate business. After Goldman Sachs, Erik was a project manager for the Regulatory Due Diligence team at Credit Suisse. There, he led the deployment of a firm-wide front office support platform allowing front-office personnel to see AML, KYC, and compliance requirements for their clients on a single-source platform. While at CUBE, a regulatory due diligence software company, Erik supported clients by providing them with up-to-date regulatory requirements for domestic and international jurisdictions. Most recently, Erik served as a Compliance Consultant in the broker dealer compliance department at PIMCO. At FP transitions, Erik leverages his financial and legal experience as a member of FP’s Legal Consulting team to support clients through the complexities of the financial landscape.

In his spare time, Erik enjoys playing MasterChef in his home kitchen, exploring the great outdoors with his wife and rescue terrier, and both domestic and international travel. He has lived in seven states, with the most recent addition of Oregon to be closer to his family. Erik also loves sports—both as an avid spectator of Los Angeles-based teams and as a former college lacrosse player. Whether kayaking, cheering on Gonzaga basketball, or providing FP clients with white-glove service, Erik is sure to do it all with passion and drive.
