CFA Chartholder. Groundbreaking strategist. Thoughtful planner. The scope of Eric Leeper’s leadership and curiosity is almost as impressive as his ability to solve a Rubik’s Cube in under sixty seconds—while blindfolded.

Eric Leeper, CFA, is the CFO and Principal at FP Transitions, where he oversees product development, financial modeling, and benchmarking, as well as several other analytical issues faced by today’s financial professionals. He creates over five hundred new next-generation owners annually, supports the annual transition of over twenty billion in assets, and has collaborated with over a thousand independent advisors. Eric’s innovative strategies for succession planning and mergers & acquisitions are lifechanging and cement his position as a top next-generation leader at FP Transitions.

Prior to joining FPT, Eric earned a B.S. in mathematics from the University of Oregon and served investment bank Pacific Crest Securities as an equity analyst. His past work developing financial models has proven invaluable in his typical workday at FP Transitions, including executive leadership, team mentoring, and client work. The latter is the best aspect of Eric’s job, as is the opportunity to bring broader perspective to client needs by working with multi-disciplinary teams.

Eric spends his time wisely outside of FP Transitions—not just by researching and exercising, but by hiking through Oregon’s great outdoors, too. While the desire to explore mountainsides, raging rivers, and fallen trees in the wintertime sounds as though it has nothing to do with work, it simply affirms Eric’s inquisitive nature and proves that he is always prepared and ready to chart the unknown—both in and out of the office!
