Caleb’s an Oregon native, and it shows. He roots for both the Ducks and the Blazers and graduated from Corban University, where he studied business while attending on a basketball scholarship. 

He’s no slouch on the court, either. Caleb was a McDonald’s All-American nominee in high school and won the conference championship with the Corban U Warriors.

He got an opportunity to play basketball in China, but stayed domestic. Caleb has had a varied career so far, ranging from sales and marketing roles, to now finding his place in accounting. “I took a leap of faith, essentially resetting my career to pursue accounting, but could not be happier that I did,” he says.

Caleb is now pursuing a post-baccalaureate certificate in accounting so he can sit for his CPA. We’re thrilled to have him — and his passion for accounting — on our accounts payable team. 

The feeling seems to be mutual. “I joined FP because of the people and the business itself. When initially researching the company, I loved how the company’s goal is to help people. To be part of a business that betters the people around them is crucial for me. But what sold me is the people,” he explains. “There was comradery and an energy about the interview team that made me want to see it all for myself.”

How has that panned out? “So far, as advertised, the people are amazing! I love mingling with everyone and love how it feels like each person cares about the next. This truly is one big family and I am thrilled to be welcomed in,” Caleb says. 

When he’s not spending time with his FP family, you can probably find Caleb with his actual family. With five siblings and lots of nieces and nephews, he keeps busy. He loves being outdoors when he can, whether that’s going on hikes, paddle boarding, or going up to the mountain. 

And, of course, basketball is still a part of Caleb’s life. He plays in competitive men’s leagues and coaches youth basketball across the city.
