VP of Strategic Development and Operations / Partner
Our Chief of Staff, she rules the West Wing with a velvet glove.
Since joining FP Transitions in 2011, Christine has been one of the principal drivers behind the growth and success of the Equity Management System®, a program that now boasts approximately 2,000 members and 20 independent broker-dealers and custodians. Whether speaking, publishing or helping advisors one-on-one, she brings to her work at FP Transitions an enthusiasm and perspective befitting a seasoned traveler. As the VP of Strategic Development and Operations, Christine is one of the chief architects of the FP Transitions vision and team.
Christine is a graduate with honors from Oregon State University, where she focused on European history and politics, and participated in international study programs in France and the Czech Republic. Using her language skills in French and German, she ventured to Switzerland after graduation, where she worked for the president of a boutique executive search firm in between road trips to Italy, Germany, and France. Returning stateside and determined to “get serious,” she enrolled in law school but was turned her off by the adversarial, combative nature of the work. She refocused and grounded her curious and collaborative personality in the technical study of accounting and taxation.
When not recruiting the next generation of talent or flying around the country to meet with our partners, Christine explores the Pacific Northwest with her husband and daughters. She is an avid cyclist and has competed in the Oregon State Time Trial competition, and numerous "century" rides. One of several wine industry “boomerangs” at the firm, she is our resident wine expert and partner in a microbrewery. She is one of the next-generation leaders at FP Transitions.
SVP, Client Experience
Throughout his long career, Craig has focused on serving a single client: the financial advisor.
For more than two decades, Craig helped Capital Group/American Funds best support and educate their network. As SVP, Senior Manager of Equity Marketing, he and his team guided marketing efforts for the brands’ equity-oriented mutual funds. At the same time, Craig tapped his access to Capital Group’s Investment Group to glean the deepest-possible investment and economic insights, which he then used to better equip his sales team and fortify relationships with financial advisors.
In fact, Craig’s entire career has been marked by his drive to share his expertise and the latest industry intel. In his role as the national speaker for American Funds, he regularly presented to advisors and consultants, helping them best position the brand’s funds in their respective platforms and portfolios. It was not uncommon for Craig to be designated the keynote speaker at national events.
As a national speaker, Craig has made over 10,000 formal presentations, generating more than $12 billion in new assets in the Pacific Northwest. He also served as the SVP, Manager of Wealth Management Consulting for Allianz, helping their retail team deliver value to financial advisors.
Ultimately, while Craig has worn many prestigious hats throughout his robust career, he has always come back to a desire to educate and equip financial advisors. Here are FP Transitions, his role as CXO allows him to focus all of his energy and talent on delivering the optimal experience to every one of FTP’s clients. Craig closely monitors their engagement with FPT and works tirelessly to increase their satisfaction and exceed their expectations.
When Craig isn’t serving as an ambassador for FPT, you can find him on the water, where he has sailed everything from a Sabot to a Swan. Though, perhaps to the chagrin of fellow sailors, he did once proudly own a vintage Chris Craft runabout.
A forward-thinking and transformative leader, Laura’s experience and expertise help propel our advisors towards their goals.
Laura has always excelled in her field. At the University of Wisconsin–Eau Claire, where she earned her Bachelor in Business Administration in management information systems, she graduated cum laude. She immediately started her career in the financial planning field, joining Northwestern Mutual as an intern, then going full-time with them as a Senior Systems Analyst. She was also a Management Consulting Manager in Financial Services for Ernst & Young, before rejoining Northwestern Mutual. At that point, she served as a director or distribution strategy with them for more than a decade and a half.
Laura joins our team with a variety of certifications. For example, she’s a recognized ASQ Six Sigma Black Belt and SAFe®4 Agilist. She holds certification from the Fellow Life Management Institute™(FLMI®) and Prosci Change Management Certification. Laura has extensive and varied experience that makes her an invaluable asset for our team and our advisors. In fact, her most recent role before joining us — as an independent strategy management consultant — only further solidified her expertise, as she helped wealth management advisors with succession planning, valuing their practices, and buying and selling.
Here at FP Transitions, Laura brings more than an impressive resume to the table. She’s also a forward thinker who’s committed to introducing the most innovative business and technology products. Through her dedication to continuous improvement and ongoing learning, she helps our advisors and our team grow to produce impressive results. In fact, as our Strategic Advisor, Laura specializes in three areas: strategic business planning (as you would probably expect from her title), growth and development, and business, process, and culture transformation. She helps our advisors move toward their most idealized goals.
When she’s not working hard to drive progress, you can find Laura and her husband, Don, enjoying their life in Yorkville, Wisconsin. They might be cooking a healthy dinner, camping, working out, or working in the yard.
SVP of Sales and Services
An Oregon native. An original. A Duck.
A graduate of the University of Oregon with a degree in marketing (and captained the rugby team), Larry has enjoyed a diversified career in business brokerage, real estate development, and currency trading. Larry joined FP Transitions over five years ago to set up our Sales and Services Department, designed to help advisors learn the precise steps they would need to take to accomplish their goals, whether that was selling and calling it a day, building through acquisition, valuing and protecting their practice, or starting to work on a 10 to 20 year succession plan.
Larry, along with Doug Kreft, provide “the voice” of FP Transitions to thousands of advisors every year, spending countless but valuable hours on the phone listening to our clients, and then explaining what we can do to make their practices more valuable, more efficient, and more enjoyable.
Larry enjoys travel, golf, and scuba diving, as well as wine tasting in our beautiful Oregon countryside. He is married with two children.
